This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") governs the manner in which Cambridge Michigan Language Assessment LLC dba Michigan Language Assessment, a Delaware limited liability company, located at Argus 1 Building, 535 West William St., Suite 310, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103-4978 (hereinafter, "Michigan Language Assessment," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, maintains, stores, transfers, and discloses Personal Information (as defined below) collected from (i) users of the michiganassessment.org website (the "Site"); (ii) users of our customer portal, my.michiganassessment.org (the "Michigan Customer Portal"); and (iii) purchasers and users of Michigan Language Assessment's products and services, including but not limited to, our English language proficiency tests, test sessions administered by or on behalf of Michigan Language Assessment, test preparation and resource materials, scoring and reporting services, and all related testing services provided by or on behalf of Michigan Language Assessment (the "Products and Services"). For the purposes of this Policy, users of the Site or the Michigan Customer Portal and purchasers and users of the Products and Services are collectively referred to as "Users" and individually as a "User". This Policy applies equally to Users who use or purchase the Products and Services without accessing the Michigan Customer Portal and/or the Site, as well as to Users who use the Michigan Customer Portal and/or the Site without purchasing or using the Products and Services. For purposes of this Policy, the Site, the Michigan Customer Portal, and Products and Services are referred to as our "Platform."
For the purposes of this Policy, the term "Personal Information" means any information or data that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or device. However, Personal Information does not include any deidentified or aggregated information.
The protection of privacy and information, including Users' Personal Information collected in connection with test administration, test performance, and test scores, is important to Michigan Language Assessment. This Policy describes how Michigan Language Assessment uses and protects Users' Personal Information generally, and where applicable, provides information for Users in specific jurisdictions, so Users can understand how they may be affected. Acceptance of this Policy; Consent
By checking the box and agreeing to this Policy during the account registration process or by accessing or using our Platform (including using or purchasing any of our Products and Services), Users acknowledge, represent, and agree that their Personal Information will be handled and protected in accordance with the Policy.
By providing us with Personal Information, whether in connection to access or use of the Platform or the purchase or use of any of the Products and Services, Users consent to the collection, use, storage, transfer, and disclosure of their Personal Information as set forth in this Policy. If Users do not consent to this Policy, they should not provide us with Personal Information.
Personal Information We Collect and How
We may collect Personal Information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users access and use the Platform, purchase our Products and Services, fill out a form, register for a test, attend a test session, take a test, and in connection with other activities, services, features, or resources we make available as part of our Products and Services.
This Personal Information we collect may include information such as a User's full name, date of birth, country of birth, email address, mailing address, phone number, current city, current country, destination country, highest level of education achieved, first language, gender, number of years studying English, and other languages spoken. Additionally, it may include the country and location where a test is taken, details and/or a copy, photograph, or scan of the identification document(s) used for test registration and administration (including ID number, issuing country, and expiry date), the specific test taken, the format of test administration (computer or paper-based), test date, test center location and unique identifier, test score report or reference identifier, test score issue date, test scores (including overall and subskill scores), test day photo(s) (including those taken for a single skill retake), audio and video recordings of test sessions and related monitoring data, including recordings made for security and integrity purposes and information generated through AI-assisted or automated tools used to identify, detect, or flag prohibited objects, potential security concerns, or other possible test security incidents for review by trained personnel, any other information or data collected during test registration and administration, and information related to any investigations into alleged or suspected malpractice or security incidents.
During test sessions, AI-assisted tools may be used to support test security monitoring by flagging potential concerns for human review; final decisions regarding suspected misconduct, malpractice, or security incidents are made by trained personnel and are not based solely on automated processing.
We will collect Personal Information, including information generated during test registration or participation, only if Users voluntarily submit such information to us or it is necessary for the testing process, or as otherwise provided for in this Policy. Users can always refuse to supply Personal Information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain functions of the Platform, testing activities, or other activities related to our Products and Services.
In limited circumstances, when special test accommodations or arrangements are requested by a particular User, we may collect and hold special categories of Personal Information about that User, including information about their health or other sensitive details, as necessary to facilitate our Products and Services for that User. We would only collect and hold such information where required to fulfill our obligations to that User.
Purposes for Collecting Personal Information/How Collected Information is Used
We collect and use Users' Personal Information for the following purposes related specifically to the Platform:
- To process transactions: Information a User provides when placing an order enables us to fulfill the User's request for Products and Services through the Platform.
- To improve the Platform: We continually strive to enhance the Platform's offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from Users.
- To improve customer service: A User's information helps us respond more effectively to their customer service requests and support needs.
- To send periodic emails: The email address a User provides for order processing will be used only to send that User information and updates related to their order, to respond to their inquiries and requests, and to send them updates about the Platform.
We also collect and use Personal Information—including information provided and collected during account registration, test registration and test administration, including, for example, test scores and responses—to fulfill our contract to provide a User with our tests and other Products and Services. Uses of Personal Information in this context include:
- Test Development and Delivery: To develop, deliver, administer, and process tests, including collecting, marking, grading, scoring, and reporting test results.
- Record Management: To issue results, certificates, and maintain records of individual performance and test scores.
- Preparation Resources: To develop and deliver materials such as practice tests and test preparation resources.
- Accessibility: To ensure appropriate facilities and arrangements are available for those with specific needs.
- Identity Verification: To verify the identity of Users, as required during test registration and administration.
- Misconduct Investigations: To investigate allegations of misconduct or irregularities in connection with test sessions or results.
- Support, Reporting, and Compliance: To handle complaints, verify results, or provide information to Authorized Recipients (defined below).
We collect and use Personal Information for additional legitimate activities related to providing our Products and Services, which include:
- Research and Quality Assurance: To conduct research that ensures our Products and Services are delivered to a high standard and test takers are protected.
- Understanding User Needs: To better understand and fulfill the needs of our Users.
- Training: To provide training to individuals such as teachers and examiners in connection with our Products and Services.
- System Maintenance: To maintain, safeguard, and improve our systems and record keeping.
We may also use a User's Personal Information to carry out marketing and market research. We will only do this when a User gives permission to be contacted for these purposes. We may send Users direct marketing by email, post, and/or SMS. Users can opt out of these contacts at any time by notifying us at info@michiganassessment.org.
We may also use a User's Personal Information for other purposes that a User would reasonably expect based on other purposes that we may describe when a User provides their Personal Information or for other purposes with a User's permission.
We may sometimes use a method called profiling, which automates some parts of decision making, such as for marketing or when checking for cheating on our tests. Where we use profiling, a human being will still be involved in decision making.
How We Protect User Information
Michigan Language Assessment is committed to safeguarding the Personal Information of Users in connection with the Platform. Personal Information of Users is stored electronically. To ensure the Personal Information of Users is protected, we:
- Implement Robust Security Measures: We utilize appropriate physical, technical, and administrative safeguards designed to protect a User's Personal Information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction. These safeguards apply to all stages of collection, storage, and processing.
- Require Secure Practices from Our Partners: We require our subcontractors, vendors, and service providers to agree to adhere to these same standards of security when handling the Personal Information of Users on our behalf.
The safety and security of the Personal Information of a User also depends on the User. If a User is provided with or chooses a password or code to access any aspect of our Platform, that User is responsible for keeping the password or code confidential. We strongly advise Users not to share their password or code with anyone.
While we take significant steps to protect Personal Information of Users, please be aware that no method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure. Although we strive to protect Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or through the Platform or in connection with our Products and Services. Any transmission of Personal Information is at a User's risk.
Sharing User Personal Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent the Personal Information of Users to others, except to the extent our use of third-party cookies may be considered a "sale" for non-monetary valuable consideration. On occasion, we may share anonymized, aggregated demographic information with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers, but this information does not identify Users personally and is only used for the purposes described in this Policy regarding deidentified information.
To deliver our Platform, Personal Information of Users may be shared under the following circumstances:
- With affiliated universities and organizations: We may share Personal Information with the University of Michigan, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and other affiliated third parties for purposes such as the delivery of our Products and Services, and administration.
- With third party service providers and subcontractors: We may share Personal Information with third parties who support our Platform or are involved in providing the Platform on behalf of Michigan Language Assessment, such as test centers, registration centers, institutional affiliates, test delivery partners, subcontractors, payment processors, shipping providers, and recognizing organizations.
- With educational institutions: We may share Personal Information with schools or other educational establishments that a User attends.
- To comply with legal requirements: We may disclose Personal Information (i) when required to do so by applicable law or regulation; (ii) to comply with a court or tribunal order or subpoena to provide information; and/or (iii) to comply with a civil, criminal, or regulatory inquiry, investigation, subpoena, or summons by federal, state, or local authorities.
- To cooperate with law enforcement: We may disclose Personal Information to cooperate with law enforcement agencies concerning conduct or activities that we (or one of our service providers) believe may violate federal, state, or local law.
- To enforce agreements: We may share Personal Information to exercise or defend legal claims and to enforce or apply our Products and Services Terms and Conditions and other agreements.
- In the event of business changes: If Michigan Language Assessment is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale, or bankruptcy, Personal Information may be transferred as part of the business assets.
- With User consent: We may share Personal Information for any other purpose if a User explicitly requests or consents to it in writing.
- To ensure protection and safety: We may disclose Personal Information if we believe it is necessary to protect the life, health or safety of a User, Michigan Language Assessment, or another individual or entity.
- To report or verify test scores: We may disclose test scores and other relevant Personal Information to Authorized Recipients for the purposes of reporting or verifying test scores, as further described below.
Test Score Reporting
A User's test scores may be reported to any institutions, organizations, entities, employers, governments or government agencies, or any other third parties requested, designated, authorized, or otherwise consented to by a User (each an "Authorized Recipient"). Subject to our Products and Services Terms and Conditions, if a User requests, designates, authorizes, or otherwise consents to the reporting of their test scores to any Authorized Recipient, that User specifically consents to Michigan Language Assessment sharing their test scores and other relevant Personal Information with such Authorized Recipient(s), which may be located in other countries, including, but not limited to, for the purpose of making a decision in relation to a visa application or other immigration matter connected to the User. Once a User's Personal Information has been disclosed to an Authorized Recipient, subject to applicable law, Michigan Language Assessment shall not be responsible or liable for that Authorized Recipient's use, handling, or further disclosure of the User's Personal Information. A User may also choose to send their test scores directly to a third party. If a User does so, the User consents to Michigan Language Assessment communicating with the third party to verify the User's test scores and provide other Personal Information as necessary for this purpose.
Use of Test Answers
In connection with the purchase or use of our Products and Services, Users may be asked to provide test answers, including written and spoken responses. Please note that by agreeing to our Products and Services Terms and Conditions, Users grant Michigan Language Assessment certain rights to use these materials, as described in the Products and Services Terms and Conditions. For more information about the rights Users grant and how their test answers may be used, please review our Products and Services Terms and Conditions.
Minors; Parental/Guardian Consent
Users must (a) be at least 16 years of age, or not be a minor in your jurisdiction, whichever imposes a higher age threshold, or (b) have the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, to provide Personal Information to us on the Platform. If a User does not meet the requirements of (a) (a "Minor") in the Minor's jurisdiction, the Minor's parent or legal guardian must review and agree to this Privacy Policy on the Minor's behalf. By providing any Personal Information on the Platform, a Minor expressly represents and warrants that: (a) the Minor has obtained verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian to agree to this Privacy Policy; (b) the parent or legal guardian has reviewed this Privacy Policy; and (c) the Minor is authorized to bind themselves to this Privacy Policy on behalf of their parent or legal guardian. Any misrepresentation by a Minor regarding parental consent may result in deletion of the Minor's Personal Information, immediate termination of access to the Products and Services, invalidation of Test scores, and any other remedies available to Michigan Language Assessment. By permitting a Minor to purchase, use, or interact with any of the Products and Services, the parent or legal guardian hereby represents and warrants that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to request written proof of parental or legal guardian consent at any time and for any reason. Acceptable proof may include, but is not limited to, a signed consent form, government-issued identification establishing the parent or guardian relationship, or other documentation satisfactory to Michigan Language Assessment, in its sole discretion. If we learn or reasonably suspect that we have collected or received Personal Information from a Minor without verification of their parents' or guardians' consent or if a parent or legal guardian fails to provide satisfactory proof of consent upon request, we will delete that Personal Information and reserve the right to immediately terminate, suspend, or restrict access to the Products and Services, cancel any pending or completed registrations, invalidate Test scores, and take any other action we deem appropriate, without liability to the Minor and/or parent or legal guardian. If a User believes that we may have Personal Information collected from a Minor please contact us at info@michiganassessment.org.
Information Automatically Collected
We may automatically collect information about Users whenever they interact with the Platform. This information automatically collected may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users' means of connection to the Platform, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.
Web Browser Cookies
The Platform may use "cookies" to enhance the experience of our Users. A User's web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert them when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Platform may not function properly.
We may use automated data collection technologies to collect information about a User's online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking). Some web browsers permit Users to broadcast a signal to websites and online services indicating a preference that they "do not track" their online activities. At this time, we do not honor such signals and we do not modify what information we collect or how we use that information based upon whether such signal is broadcast or received.
We obtain User permission before deploying any non-essential cookies where required by law.
Third-Party Websites
Users may find advertising or other content on the Platform that links to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from the Platform. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to the Platform, is subject to that website's own terms and policies.
Retention
A User's Personal Information will be retained by Michigan Language Assessment for at least seven (7) years from the date of the User's last engagement with our Platform, and some Personal Information may be retained beyond this period, up to and including indefinite retention, to allow us to verify test scores from any period. We may also keep a User's Personal Information for as long as necessary to comply with any legal requirements, and on our backup and disaster recovery systems in case we face a disaster. We occasionally keep a User's Personal Information as long as necessary to protect our legal rights, such as if we need to defend ourselves against a legal claim. Some of a User's Personal Information is aggregated or otherwise rendered anonymous so that the User can no longer be identified. We keep this type of information forever.
User Privacy Rights
Access: Users have the right to request a copy of the Personal Information we hold about them.
Correction: Users may request the correction or update of any inaccuracies in their Personal Information. We may not be able to accommodate a User's request if we believe it would violate any law or other legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
Restriction: Users can request the restriction of our processing of their Personal Information in certain circumstances, such as when the accuracy is contested, the processing is unlawful, or we no longer need the information for processing but must retain it to meet legal requirements.
Withdrawal of Consent: Where the processing of Personal Information is based on consent, Users have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. We may still process Personal Information as required to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations.
Erasure: Users may request the erasure of their Personal Information under certain circumstances, such as when the Personal Information is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, the User withdraws consent (where applicable), or the processing is unlawful. We may retain certain Personal Information where legally required or permitted.
Portability: Where applicable, and where processing is carried out by automated means on the basis of consent, Users may request a copy of their Personal Information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and may request that it be transferred to another organization, where technically feasible.
Objection: Users have the right to object to the processing of their Personal Information where the processing is conducted on the grounds of legitimate interest or for direct marketing purposes.

If a User contacts us to exercise any of these above rights, we may ask the User for additional information to verify the User's identity. If we are unable to verify the User's identity, or if we are required to comply with other legal or business obligations, we may not be able to fulfill the User's request or may need to limit it. If we refuse a User's request, we will explain our reasons to you in writing within a reasonable time frame.
Complaints: If a User believes that we have violated their rights regarding our use or handling of their Personal Information, they have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority or privacy regulator in the country where they live, work, or where they believe their rights have been violated. However, before doing so, we request that a User contacts us directly by emailing us at info@michiganassessment.org in order to give us an opportunity to work directly with them to resolve any concerns about their privacy.
Changes to This Privacy Statement
Michigan Language Assessment has the discretion to modify or replace this Policy at any time. If any such modification or replacement takes place, Michigan Language Assessment will revise the "Effective" date at the beginning of this Policy. If material changes are made to the Policy, Michigan Language Assessment will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify registered Users by email, using the email address on their Michigan Customer Portal account. Michigan Language Assessment encourages Users to regularly review this page for any updates to stay informed about this Policy. Users acknowledge and agree that it is their responsibility to periodically review this Policy and be aware of any modifications. Continued use of the Platform following the posting of changes constitutes a User's acceptance of, and agreement that their Personal Information will be handled and protected in accordance with the modified or replaced policy language.
User GDPR Privacy Rights
If the User is located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, the User has the additional rights described in our GDPR Privacy Addendum, below.
Consent to Processing of Personal Information in the United States
Users' Personal Information may be transferred outside the country where they reside or are located, including to countries that may not or do not provide an adequate level of protection for their Personal Information. We only transfer Users' Personal Information to another country if it is required or permitted under the applicable data protections laws and when there are appropriate safeguards to protect their Personal Information.
Relationship to Products and Services Terms and Conditions
This Policy is part of and subject to our Products and Services Terms and Conditions. For details regarding the purchase and use of our Products and Services and the rights and obligations as a User, please refer to the Products and Services Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between this Policy and the Products and Services Terms and Conditions, the Products and Services Terms and Conditions shall control to the extent permitted by applicable law.

GDPR Privacy Addendum — Effective: September 18, 2026
Introduction
This GDPR Privacy Addendum (the "GDPR Privacy Addendum") supplements the information contained in our Privacy Policy and applies solely to Users of the Platform who are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. We adopt this GDPR Privacy Addendum to comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, and any laws implementing the foregoing by any member states of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom (including the UK Data Protection Act and the UK-GDPR), and or Switzerland (collectively, the "GDPR"). Unless otherwise defined in this GDPR Privacy Addendum, any terms defined in the GDPR or our Privacy Policy have the same meaning when used in this GDPR Privacy Addendum. When this GDPR Privacy Addendum is applicable to a User, it takes precedence over anything contradictory in our Privacy Policy.
Data Controller
Michigan Language Assessment is the data controller of User Personal Information. Michigan Language Assessment may be contacted in any manner set forth below in the "Contact Information" Section of this GDPR Privacy Addendum.
Information We Collect About Users and How We Collect It
The Personal Information we collect and the ways in which we collect it is described in our Privacy Policy.
The Personal Information we collect from Users is required to enter into a contract with Michigan Language Assessment, for Michigan Language Assessment to perform under the contract, and to provide Users with our Platform. If Users refuse to provide such Personal Information or withdraw consent to our processing of Personal Information (when appropriate), then in some cases we may not be able to enter into the contract or fulfill our obligations to Users under it.
Lawful Basis for Processing Personal Information
The processing of Personal Information is lawful only if it is permitted under the GDPR. We have a lawful basis for each of our processing activities (except when an exception applies as described below).
- Consent. By checking the box and agreeing to the Privacy Policy during the account registration process or by accessing or using our Platform, Users consent to our collection, use, and sharing their Personal Information, as described in our Privacy Policy and this GDPR Privacy Addendum. If a User does not consent to the terms of our Privacy Policy and this GDPR Privacy Addendum, they should refrain from using our Platform;
- Legitimate Interests. We will process Users' Personal Information as necessary for our legitimate interests. Our legitimate interests are balanced against Users' interests and rights and freedoms and we do not process Users' Personal Information if Users' interests or rights and freedoms outweigh our legitimate interests. Our legitimate interests are to: facilitate communication between Michigan Language Assessment and Users; detect and correct bugs and to improve the Platform; safeguard our IT infrastructure and intellectual property; detect and prevent fraud and other crime; promote and market our business; and develop our Platform;
- To Fulfill Our Obligations to a User under our Contract. We process a User's Personal Information in order to fulfill our obligations to the User, pursuant to our contract with the User to deliver the Platform to the User; and
- As Required by Law. We may also process Users' Personal Information when we are required or permitted to by law; to comply with government inspections, audits, and other valid requests from government or other public authorities; to respond to legal process such as subpoenas; or as necessary for us to protect our interests or otherwise pursue our legal rights and remedies (for instance, when necessary to prevent or detect fraud, attacks against our network, or other criminal and tortious activities), defend litigation, and manage complaints or claims.
Special Categories of Information
In limited circumstances, such as when a User requests special test accommodations or arrangements, Michigan Language Assessment may collect and hold special categories of Personal Information about that User, including information about their health or other sensitive details, as necessary to facilitate our Products and Services. We collect, hold, and process this information only when required to fulfill our obligations to the User, or as otherwise permitted by the GDPR, such as with the User's explicit consent or to comply with legal obligations.
Automated Decision Making
As described in our Privacy Policy, we may sometimes use a method called profiling, which automates some parts of decision making, such as for marketing or when checking for cheating on our tests. Where we use profiling, a human being will still be involved in decision making.
How We Use Personal Information
We use a User's Personal Information as described in our Privacy Policy.
We will only use a User's Personal Information to contact a User about our own goods and services that may be of interest to a User if a User gives permission to be contacted for these purposes. If User wishes to change their choice regarding this permission, User may do so at any time by sending us an email at info@michiganassessment.org.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not share or otherwise disclose Users' Personal Information for purposes other than to the entities and for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
User Rights Regarding Personal Information and Accessing and Correcting Personal Information
The GDPR provides Users with certain rights with regards to our processing of Personal Information. These rights are addressed in our Privacy Policy, in the Section entitled User Privacy Rights.
Consent to Processing of Personal Information In Other Countries Outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom
In order to provide our Platform to Users, we may send and store Users' Personal Information outside of the EEA or the United Kingdom, including, but not limited to, the United States. Accordingly, Users' Personal Information may be transferred outside the country where Users reside or are located, including to countries that may not or do not provide an equivalent level of protection for Users' Personal Information. Users' Personal Information may be processed and stored in the United States and United States federal, state, and local governments, courts, or law enforcement or regulatory agencies may be able to obtain disclosure of Users' Personal Information through the laws of the United States. By using the Platform, User represents that User has read and understood the above and hereby consents to the storage and processing of Personal Information outside the country where the User resides or is located, including, but not limited to, in the United States.
Users' Personal Information is transferred by Michigan Language Assessment to another country only if it is required or permitted under the GDPR and provided that there are appropriate safeguards in place to protect the Personal Information. To ensure Personal Information is treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy and this GDPR Privacy Addendum when we transfer it to a third party, Michigan Language Assessment enters into Data Protection Agreements with the subcontractors that process Personal Information, where required by law. These agreements include, where applicable, the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission and/or the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom (collectively, the "Standard Contractual Clauses"). The European Commission and the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom have determined that the transfer of personal information pursuant to the Standard Contractual Clauses provides for an adequate level of protection of personal information, however, the Standard Contractual Clauses may need to be supplemented in some cases with additional measures on a case-by-case basis after an analysis that such supplemental measures can provide an essentially equivalent level of protection as afforded in the EEA and/or the UK. When, as a result of this analysis, we believe this to be appropriate and necessary, the Standard Contractual Clauses have been supplemented in this way. Under these Standard Contractual Clauses, Users have the same rights as if their Personal Information was not transferred to such third country. Data Retention Periods
A User's Personal Information will be retained by Michigan Language Assessment for at least seven (7) years from the date of the User's last engagement with our Platform, and some Personal Information may be retained beyond this period, up to and including indefinite retention, to allow us to verify test scores from any period. We may also keep a User's Personal Information for as long as necessary to comply with any legal requirements, and on our backup and disaster recovery systems in case we face a disaster. We occasionally keep a User's Personal Information as long as necessary to protect our legal rights, such as if we need to defend ourselves against a legal claim. Some of a User's Personal Information is aggregated or otherwise rendered anonymous so that the User can no longer be identified – we keep this type of information forever.
Changes to This GDPR Privacy Addendum
We may change this GDPR Privacy Addendum at any time. We will post any changes we make to our GDPR Privacy Addendum on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat Users' Personal Information, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify registered Users by email, using the email address on their Michigan Customer Portal account. The date this GDPR Privacy Addendum was last revised is identified at the beginning of the GDPR Privacy Addendum. Registered Users are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for the User, and Users are responsible for periodically visiting the Platform and this GDPR Privacy Addendum to check for any changes.
